Prague International Orchestra

Prague International Orchestra was founded by Euroempresa Group during the summer of 2005. The main idea was to support classical music (as an art) at a time in which commercial projects or sporting events
are considered more important.

Euroempresa Group chose the musicians from Prague because of their connection with the great musical tradition of their city and because of the importance of Prague in the cultural context of Europe.
The members of the Prague International Orchestra are young musicians (their average being 33) all of which with a great talent. They studied at the University (Academy of music). The number of members, 25, is not by chance.

A symphony orquestra of this kind was considered suitable to perform works by J.Haydn and W.A.Mozart. The manager and artistic director of the Orchestra, Vladimír Havlícek, also liked the possibility of such a pure and clear orchestra giving again performances. The specific "colour" of the sound of the Orchestra is also influenced by the fact that half of the Orchestra is composed of women and the other by men. Famous classical works are included in the Orquestra’s repertoire but also romantic and neoromantic works as well. In this repertoire are, of course, included works by the great Czech composers such Smetana, and A.
Dvorák amongst others. The Orchestra includes several excellent soloists who provide the concerts
with an outstanding charm.
